The Best Fast Food Meals You Will Find

Dairy Queen – The Turkey BLT on Ciabatta bread

A new spin on the traditional BLT with a healthy twist.  It is really good and won’t leave you feeling stuffed afterwards.  It’s the best option on the menu, just slightly edging out the Chili Cheese Dog and Flamethrower Burger

Subway – The Tuna Sub

Honestly, they are the only sub place around where I would trust the Tuna.  You will want to add a scoup and plenty of fresh cut veggies if you want the meal to fill you up however. Ohhhhh, grab the cookies too, best around!

White Castle – A sack of sliders of course!

Tastes great going down, not so much coming up or out later on that same evening.

Panda Express – Double item combo with Sweet Fire Chicken & Orange Flavored

Make sure to get this delicious combo with the best fried rice this side of Japan!  Panda Express has been the lone Chinese Food restaurant so good and popular they have been able to move out of food courts and have their own brick and mortar locations.

I really enjoy the Sweet Fire Chicken Breast.  It has that perfect measure of heat and sweet.  Also, the Orange Flavored Chicken is pretty much the meal that put Panda Express on the map to begin with.  It smells so good on your plate or in the car on the way home to eat it.  I can’t help it, I love that smell!

KFC – The Side Dishes

While I have never been a fan of chicken off the bone, if you must get Poultry at this “Chicken Joint” go with the slider sandwiches.  It the closest you will get to a solid piece of white meat.  You may get lucky with a breast, but I wouldn’t count on it as they tend to be rib cages with little meat.

That being said, as bad as their chicken is, they have AMAZING side dishes.  Baked Beans, Mac N Cheese, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Cole Slaw, Buttery Biscuits, Jo Jo’s etc.  The gravy they put on the mashed potatoes is great too.

Chick Fila – The Southwest Chicken Salad

It is filling, healthy and has a bit of zip to it if you add the creamy Southwest Dressing that I love. They have a really good egg white, grilled chicken breakfast sandwich too. In fact, I would put that Egg White sandwich up against any other breakfast sandwich you will find including the delicious McGriddle.

Dibella’s & Penn Station Both – The Italian

This puppy is loaded and grilled to perfection!  Penn Station and Dibella’s are the only good sub places we have around Northeast Ohio.  I just wish they had more locations.

Subway is not filling, Firehouse Subs suck, it’s like eating a wet nap and Jersey Mikes uses stale bread.  If you want a good sub, go to Dibella’s or Penn Station.  Dave’s Cosmic Subs are also overpriced and over hyped.

Five Guys – Double Bacon Cheeseburger

Like Swenson’s, you will be waiting awhile for them to make it, but it is so darn good it is worth the wait.  It is as simple as it sounds, but it is delicious!  Something about them making it right in front of you helps too!  Not to mention you get to snack on some salty shelled peanuts why you are waiting.  What is not to love?

Swensons – The Galley Boy

The sauce is out of this world.  Take it from a guy who hates onions, even I will tell you how good the sauce and toppings are on the Galley Boy. Swensons is incredible, you really can’t go wrong!  Again, you have to deal with a bit of wait so I would recommend calling in your order then going to pick it up as they come to your window and serve you.

Culvers – The entire menu

Instead of just choosing one thing at Culvers, your best bet is to call off work and set up shop in their dining room for the day.  Not only is everything on their menu filled with Burgers, Chicken, Fried goodies and Ice Cream excellent, but they also serve you at the table.  You cannot beat Culvers!

Popeyes – Don’t bother stopping

When it comes to Popeyes, the best thing you can do is drive right past it.

Panera – Turkey Bravo with a bowl of Broccoli Cheddar Soup

Make sure to get the full sandwich as it will have the best chance at filling you up.  It’s an exciting mix of smoked Turkey Breast, Bacon, smoked Gouda, lettuce, tomato basil bread and their signature dressing. Their Broccoli Cheddar soup is easily their best as well!
