Yes, I just chose a cheeseburger as the best meal at a Chicken Restaurant with the word “Wings” even in the name. While their wings have gone downhill over the years, their extended menu has gotten bigger and better and given longtime fans a new reason to come back.
The All-American Cheeseburgers stacks two large fresh beef patties on top of each other with Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato and two kinds of sauce draped on it as well. Need some spice, throw on an onion ring or two! It may not be “fast food” but this burger is more than worth the wait!
Wendy’s – Pretzel Pub Bacon Cheeseburger
For many years the number one go to was their awesome all white meat nuggets which I still contend are the very best you will find. Also, the cult classic Junior Bacon Cheeseburger to go with those nuggets and a frosty was a never miss, can’t fail solution every single time.
However, just recently the meal that I thought would never get replaced a top of the Wendy’s rankings, shockingly has. Have you tried the new Pretzel Pub Bacon Cheeseburger Sandwich there?
It’s out of this world as they take a quarter pound of fresh beef and top it with Muenster Cheese, three strips of applewood smoked bacon, smokey honey mustard, warm beer cheese sauce, crispy fried onions and saucy pickles on a toasted pretzel bun. Trust us, stop what you are doing and go our and get one right now!
Burger King – The Whopper with Bacon and Cheese
Unlike McDonald’s with the Little Mac, the Burger King Classic known as “The Whopper” has not decreased in size over the years, and their fans are grateful for it. It is a flame broiled patty smothered in “Whopper Sauce”. I made that a few years back, it’s very good and is easy to make!
They recently changed their recipe for the breading they use and it has taken down their nuggets a great deal. However, the breading on the Original Chicken Sandwich appears to be the same and quite tasty as well. BK hasn’t really evolved over the years, but sometimes the classics just don’t have to.
Raising Canes – The Caniac Combo minus the slaw, add extra toast
So, this may have been the easiest one to choose from a restaurant that only serves up two meals. Either you get chicken fingers loose, or in sandwich form. That’s it! Sounds simple but tastes great as they highlight the Caniac’s six fingers / tenders with tasty garlic bread and crinkle cut fries.
