The Top 5 Browns QB’s Since 99

4th Best

Derek Anderson

Starts 34

Record 16- 18

Record against Pittsburgh 1-4

Playoff appearances = 0

Summary – Anderson will forever be remembered for one great season in 2007 when he went 10-5 as a starter for the Browns. He replaced Charlie Frye after week one and rolled from there.  Finishing that magical season with 29 touchdowns and 16 picks. Sadly, it was his multiple interceptions against Cincinnati that would cost the Browns their playoff bid.

Anderson came back in 2008 with a lot of hype, but it was never the same.  He started 9 games that season and finished with a paltry 9 touchdowns and 8 interceptions in a season that was a total bust.   They were 3-6 in those starts and fired coaches and a GM at seasons end.

  1. Hopefully with the new coach and additions this young qb can be THE qb of our future. Give him the right old and dl and off we go.
