Grading Every NXT World Champion In History

Drew McIntyre
Reign – Aug 2017 – Nov 2017
Grade – A

Reason – When McIntyre came back to WWE in 2017, many felt it would be back on the main roster as it was in his initial stint. It wasn’t, and the move to come up through NXT was brilliant. He has been on an incredible run ever since.

Drew McIntyre may not be born American, but he is the American dream if there ever was one. It is hard not be motivated an inspired by this man’s career. A lot of fans had hoped one thing for Shinsuke Nakamura, and instead, it was earned and achieved by The Scottsman.

Andrade Cien Almas
Reign – Nov 2017 – April 2018
Grade – B

Reason – This guy is good, real good! He can do it all and is one step away from the next level in the WWE. If they truly want to push him as a top heel however, replace Zelina Vega by his side with Charlotte Flair and the heat will really be on him.
Like Seth Rollins, he is saddled with a terrible faction right now on RAW, but that shouldn’t stop what appears to be a bright future.

Aleister Black
Reign – April 2018 – July 2018
Grade – D

Reason – Despite his extremely cool gimmick, awesome ring entrance and look, he has failed to get over in the WWE. His best days on the main roster came with Richochet by his side. I cannot believe that I’m even saying this, because again, I love his gimmick. But at this point, he made need a total overhaul as without fans in the crowd, his entire gimmick simply doesn’t work.
