Avon falls one spot in this week’s rankings through no fault of their own, as the Eagles dispatched Berea-Midpark 52-21. Quarterback Trevor Sykora lit it up through the air, throwing for five touchdowns and 189 yards. Wide reciever Fin Jerdonek was on the receiving end of two of those touchdowns, including a 59-yard score in the first quarter. Senior Michael Colburn got in on the action as well with 15-yard interception return for a touchdown. Avon looks to take another step towards its 11th straight Southwestern Conference crown when they travel to Midview (3-3).
