It took all 48 minutes, but the Cardinals improved to 2-0 with a 31-30 nailbiter over McDowell (PA). The Trojans scored with under two minutes left and opted for a two-point conversion, but the Mentor defense held strong and sealed the win. Cooper Russo had a fumble recovery touchdown, and quarterback Brogan Jones went 17-27 for 358 yards and two touchdowns. The Cardinals look to extend their winning streak to three when they take on a much improved St. Ignatius (1-1) squad.
