Week 7 UFL Power Rankings

1. DC Defenders (5-1)

The Defenders are on a 5-game winning streak and look completely unstoppable. Their most recent 24-6 victory over the Renegades solidified their spot at the top of the rankings.

At halftime, the Defenders held a commanding 24-0 lead and only allowed 148 total yards. With MVP caliber QB Jordan Ta’amu throwing 228 yards and 3 TDsthe Defenders continue to destroy every team in their path.

With the United Bowl set in DC, the Defenders are quickly becoming the clear favorites to win a championship on their home field.

2. St. Louis Battlehawks (4-2)

The Battlehawks defeated the Louisville Kings 16-3 in Week 6The Kings’ run game was held to 12 yards on 13 attempts. The Battlehawks also forced Louisville’s QB Chandler Rogers to a 46.9% completion rate, 0 TDs, and 1 INT.

While the

Battlehawks offense continues to be lacklusterthey are hoping that benching QB Harrison Frost for spring league veteran Luis Perez will give them the spark they have been looking forThis Battlehawks defense continues to dominate the rest of the league while giving up only 245 yards per game (Lowest in the UFL).

If the Battlehawks QB change can get this offense moving in the right direction, they could easily compete for the United Bowl.

3. Orlando Storm (4-2)

Orlando lost 20-17 to the Birmingham Stallions in Week 6. The Storm had 2 fumbled snaps leading to turnovers in the red zone. Not being able to finish those drives led to crucial points being left on the board.

Storm QB Jack Plummer turned in an amazing performance, throwing for 324 yards and 2 TDs in Week 6. Star RB Jashaun Corbin had 13 carries for 53 yards, averaging 4.1 yards per carry.

If

Orlando can clean up the mistakes in the red zone, they have the talent to compete with anyone in the UFL.

4. Birmingham Stallions (2-4)

The Stallions defeated the Orlando Storm 20-17 in Week 6. The Stallions’ new QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson got his revenge after getting traded from the Orlando Storm for QB Matt Corral and DE Amani Bledsoe before Week 5.

Thompson-Robinson

went 19-27 with 271 yards passing and a TD. The Stallions run game had a substantial improvement last week with Snoop Connor rushing for 61 yards on 16 attempts and Tyrion Davis-Price rushing for 30 yards on 8 carries.

After an impressive offensive performance in Week 6, Birmingham suddenly looks far more dangerous than their record suggests.

5. Dallas Renegades (3-3)

The Renegades who once looked like the best team in the league find themselves in a 3-game skid after losing 24-6 to the DC Defenders. The Renegades offense finds themselves needing more consistency from QB Austin Reed.

Reed went 22-41 with

258 yards, a TD, and an INT. The run game for Dallas continues to be minimal as starting RB Ellis Merriweather runs for only 17 yards on 9 carries.

After looking lik

e title favorites early in the season, Dallas suddenly has major questions to answer heading into Week 7.

6. Louisville Kings (2-4)

After looking like new QB Chandler Rogers would turn everything around in Week 5, the Kings do a complete 180 and lose 16-3 to the St. Louis Battlehawks. Rogers had 199 yards and an INT on 15-32 passing.

The Kings run game also continued to struggle only recording 12 rushing yards. The offensive line also struggled to create space in the run game, allowing drives to stall and St. Louis to control the tempo of the entire game.

The Kings offense will nee

d a much better performance in Week 7 to stay competitive in the playoff race.

7. Columbus Aviators (2-4)

The Aviators defeated the Houston Gamblers 24-17 in Week 6. Columbus has a 3 headed monster in the RB room with John Lovett having 62 yards on 17 carries, Toa Taua with 42 yards on 6 carries, and Zaquandre White recording 39 yards on 10 carries.

This Aviators

team struggles to win the turnover battle and control the tempo of games that they play.

If they continue to play catch

up to every team, they face it will be hard to take them seriously as contenders.

8. Houston Gamblers (2-4)

The Gamblers lost to the Aviators 24-17 in Week 6. The injuries to the Gamblers QB room have made a massive dent in what this team can accomplish.

In Week 6 Nolan Henderson started, then

he aggravated his previous shoulder injury. After he came out of the game, 3rd string QB Taulia Tagovailoa got another chance to move up the depth chart.

Taulia would play most of the rest of the game until he suffered a gruesome leg and knee injury that would have him carted off the field and later released by the team.

With

bad injury luck and inconsistent QB play, the Gamblers face some tough decisions heading into next season.
