Cuyahoga Falls, OH – The evening started with a celebration. The 2026 senior class of Walsh Jesuit was honored. It quickly turned into an amazing display of power and precision by the Walsh Jesuit Lady Warriors.
On Monday night the 15-1 Lady Warriors easily beat the Magnificat Lady Blue Streaks 17-0. This game was about celebrating the seniors and sending a message.
Head Coach Charlie Schrader was a little worried. He thought the senior night energy might distract his team.. From the first pitch it was clear they were focused.
Setting the Tone
Senior Ella Girard set the tone. She laid down a bunt. Got on base. Then she swiped base. This put Magnificats defense on edge.
Next junior Kat Taylor hit a RBI double. This brought Girard home. Started a big inning.
The momentum didn’t stop. Senior Brynn Mineard hit an RBI single. She also showed off her speed with a stolen base. The lead was now 3-0.
Senior Katie Lippencott drew a walk. This kept the inning going. Then senior Renee Brown stepped up to the plate. The bases were loaded. She hit a slam. This changed the game forever.
The Grand Slam That Rocked the Field
Browns grand slam was huge. It cleared the bases. Gave Walsh Jesuit a big lead. This was a turning point for Brown. She had been struggling with pressure.. After an injury her mindset changed.
“At the beginning of the season I was struggling ” Brown said. “. Then I got hurt. It made me change my mindset. I realized I had to take these games seriously.”
A Complete Team Effort
The Lady Warriors didn’t look back. They kept hitting, running and playing defense. Magnificat couldn’t generate any offense.

- Renee Brown finished 2-for-3 with a slam. She brought in four runs. Scored one herself.
- Katie Lippencott pitched a no-hitter. She struck out six batters.
Built for Greatness: Walsh Jesuit’s Unstoppable Rise
This win was huge. It extended Walsh Jesuits 15-game winning streak. They are one of the teams, in Ohio. They have a RPI. The Lady Warriors are proving they can overcome any challenge.
They have a lineup and great defense. Their pitching is dominant. This Walsh Jesuit team is a force to be reckoned with.
More Than a Game: A Statement
On a night to honor the seniors, Walsh Jesuits last-year leaders made a statement. They showed their teams strength, spirit and potential.
If Mondays game is any indication the Lady Warriors are here to stay. They aren’t just winning games. They’re making a statement.
