EDEMENTON, ALBERTA, CA – One of the final cards up north for 2026 was loaded with sparks and no shortages of finishes. In fact, the first 11 straight fifths to open the show ended in KO or Submission, with 8 of those 11 not even making into the third round.
The undercard saw knockouts by Katlyn Cerminara, Joel Faglier and Tanner Bosser while earning submission victories were You Su-young, Chelsea Chandler, Steven Koslow and Nick Galanti. For Galanti, he was a heavy favorite and it only took him 1:26 to put away Julien Leblanc.
The Bosser knockout was his 3rd win in his last 4 fights as he continues to heat up in the UFC Heavyweight Division, a division that is sorely up in the air right now. The Cerminara victory helped her stop a two-fight skid.
Much like the undercard, the main card had no shortage of fast finishes and carnal damage. Nate Landwehr lost his fourth straight to open up the main portion when he was TKO’d by Mandel Nallo at 47 seconds of the second round.
Timothy Cuamba turned a strong ground game into a neck crank victory over Louis Jourdain at 2:48 of the second round while Marc-Andre Barriault only needed 4:28 to knockout Kyle Daukaus using a combination wicked strikes with heavy elbows. The win also stopped a two-fight skid for Barriault as well.
Cristian Perez was a heavy favorite in his fight with Kyle Nelson and wasted no time knocking out his foe in just 27 seconds. For Perez, this makes career win 16 and first in his UFC Career. Perez is young despite having 18 career fights, the 27-year-old can still make a name for himself on the worlds biggest stage.
Jasmine Jasudavicius overcame steep odds to defeat Erin Blanchfield who seemed as though she was on a direct path to a Women’s Flyweight Championship match against Natalia Silva. Jasudavicius was not worried about it and did some of her best work in front of her countrymen. This is now the 6th time she has won on home soil since coming to the UFC. The win also improves her UFC record to 11-3 and her 6th in her last 7 fights.
Joaquin Buckley badly needed a bounce back win after losing two straight and didn’t get one as he was knocked out by Mike Malott at 2:32 of the second round. This is a devasting loss as Buckley was once 21-6, with 6 straight wins and on his way to a UFC Welterweight Title Match at the conclusion of 2024. Since then, losses to Kamaru Usman, Sean Brady and now tonight, have set his career back years. He also hasn’t been active, this being only his 3rd fight since December of 2024.
As for Malott, this is a huge win that continues his trajectory in the division. The win moves his record to 15-2-1, with 5 straight wins and 11 of his last 12. Malott may see another high-profile fight very soon.
The UFC returns to Abu Dhabi next weekend for UFC 333 in a show headlined by Volkanovski vs. Evloev for the UFC Featherweight Championship while Petr Yan defends his UFC Bantamweight Championship against Merab Dvalishvili in the rubber match between the two.
