Tim Alexander Memorial Tournament: Avon Flys Past Wooster 2-1

The Wooster Oilers struck first at the 9:50 mark when a Sam Robinson shot on goal deflected off an Avon Eagle to find its way into the net.  With the exception of that quirky goal, there was no other scoring in the first period.

The Eagles would tie it up early into the second as Grant Petrucelli found the back of the net to make it 1 all with 11:52 to play.  The game would remain knotted up for the next nearly 25 minutes of game play until a diving Jake Zurawski launched a shot while falling down past Wooster goal tender Josie Zimmerman who was playing the game of her life.

The incredible goal was enough to get the job done, and the Eagles would go on to win 2-1.
