St. Ed’s runs to 48-21 Victory at Anthony Wayne

The St. Ed’s Eagles offense had been searching for an identity after graduating their starting star running back Brandon White, quarterback Johhny Evanchick and wide receiver Zach Hacklemen last year.   I believe after tonight, they have found it with the ground game!  The Eagles rushed for a combined 372 yards with 6 of their 7 touchdowns coming on the ground in an epic 48-21 victory over Anthony Wayne.  This was part of a 544 yard night.

They were led by Ronnie Neal who rattled off 131 yards on 14 touches while scoring twice.  Colin Tedesco had a career-high 95 yards on 10 carries with 2 touchdowns as well.  Quarterback Langston Lucas continued to be a duel threat as he ran for 64 yards on 11 carries with two scores while also throwing for 168 yards on 9 of 13 passing with a touchdown toss to Caleb Hall as well.

This rushing attack allowed the Eagles to dominate the clock, keeping possession for nearly 28 of the 48 minutes.  Truly, the only negative for them were the 12 penalties for 120 yards that they will have to clean up before they host Hoban next week.

The Eagles are now 3-0.
