There were many fine performances across High School Football Week 7 deserving of this award, but perhaps none better than Casey Bullock of St. Ed’s, who is our Week 7 Jenny’s Old Fashioned Popcorn Player of the Week!
Heading into this past weekends edition of The Holy War, no one knew what to expect as St. Ed’s signal caller Casey Bullock was listed as doubtful with an injury. We didn’t expect him to play, but the heart of Bullock cannot be denied and he rose to the occasion.
Casey Bullock returned behind center for the St. Ed’s Eagles just in time to lead them to a 42-7 victory over their rivals St. Ignatius. He went 12 of 16 passing for 257 yards with touchdown passes of 20, 29 and 14 yards. Head Coach Lombardo protected Bullock well, by keeping him upright and he came away completely untouched.
Bullock had no shortage of threats as numerous Eagles stepped up big in their roles. Brandon White ran for 49 yards on 8 carries with a touchdown. He also caught 2 passes for 36 yards and a touchdown.
His top receiving threats were Kyan Mason with 2 catches for 54 yards and a touchdown. The sophomore Zach Hackleman with 3 catches for 62 yards and Brian Sullivan with 3 catches for 85 yards and a touchdown.
The Eagles will look to stay hot this Saturday afternoon as they host Clarkson North from Toronto, Canada.
