Heading into the game, the Browns needed to defeat the Steelers backups, to secure a spot in the playoffs for the first time since 2002.
They blew it the week before with a loss to the hapless Jets. Things looked good as they led 24-9 with 11 minutes remaining in the game. They couldn’t help but make it interesting and almost blew the game, before hanging on to a thrilling 22-21 victory to send them to the post season.
