The Olmsted Falls Lady Bulldogs came out firing on the road and never looked back, rolling past the Amherst Comets 61–26 in a decisive league matchup. Olmsted Falls set the tone early with an aggressive defensive effort that limited Amherst to just five points in the opening quarter while building a 19–5 advantage. The Bulldogs continued to control the tempo in the second quarter, extending the lead to 28–9 at halftime and putting Amherst in a difficult position heading into the break.

Coming out of halftime, Amherst showed some fight, but Olmsted Falls responded with its most productive quarter of the night. The Bulldogs poured in 19 third-quarter points to stretch the lead to 47–24 by the end of the period, effectively sealing the outcome. Olmsted Falls’ balanced scoring and consistent pressure on both ends of the floor prevented Amherst from mounting any sustained run.

Jesse Simon led all scorers with an impressive 23 points, setting the pace offensively for the Bulldogs. Emma Schaefer added 10 points, while Ella Meczka chipped in 7 as Olmsted Falls saw contributions up and down the roster. For Amherst, Sarai Hussein-Bey led the way with 12 points, accounting for nearly half of the Comets’ scoring on the night. In the end, Olmsted Falls’ depth, defense, and offensive execution proved too much, as the Lady Bulldogs closed out a convincing road victory.

  1. Looks like falls will be SWC champs again this year, first game I have been back to since I moved away after college. Great to see Coach Jordan and girls still keeping up the tradition. Amherst looked young but kept fighting. My dad chuckled and said he played against that coach who was coaching back in the 80’s nice to see him on the sidelines! Good luck to both teams the rest of way!
