Cleveland Defeats Toronto 115-105: Key Stats From the Victory

Stat One – 94% of teams to take a 2-0 lead in the first round of the NBA Playoffs have advanced to the second round.

Stat Two –  This was only the 4th time in Cavaliers Playoffs history that 3 players had 25 or more points in an opening round game.  Those players being Mobley with 25, James Harden with 28 and Donovan Mitchell with 30.

Stat Three – 4 of the 5 Cavaliers starters reached double  digits in scoring.  The above 3 along with Jarrett Allan who had 10 as well.

Stat Four – 32%  The Cavaliers only shot 32% from beyond the arc tonight, that is a stat that won’t hold water in bigger games.  They took a whopping 40 three pointers, only nailing 13.  That is far too many for a playoff game.

Stat Five – Minus (-) 7 in rebounding.  Another stat to possibly be concerned with, the Cavaliers were minus 7 on rebounds tonight.

Stat Six – Plus 7.  The Cavaliers who have had some sluggish starts this year, didn’t tonight as they outscored Toronto 26-19 in the first quarter to get off to a hot start and keep the crowd into it.

Game Three is Wednesday Night in Toronto
