Cleveland Defeats Detroit to Push Series Closer at 2-1

The Cleveland Cavaliers were in a must win desperate situations as they hosted the Detroit Pistons, down 2-0 in the Eastern Conference Semi Finals,  It wasn’t easy but they managed to pull off the thrilling 116-109 victory to notch the series just a bit closer heading into a pivotal Game Four on Monday night in Cleveland.

The Cavaliers have struggled to by physical this series and also careful with the ball and part that continued on Saturday when they saw a 15 point third quarter lead evaporate into a rather dicey fourth quarter.

Cleveland was led by Donovan Mitchell who scored 35 While James Harden followed with 19 and Jarrett Allen with 18.  For Mitchell, he had a double double as he collected 10 rebounds as well.  Harden made up for committing 3 turnover by dishing out a team high 7 assists.

The Cavaliers held Detroit to just 9 of 25 from beyond the arc.  The Piston were once again led by the sensational Cade Cunningham with 27 while Tobias Harris has 21 and Duncan Robinson with 15.

Game Four is Monday night from Cleveland before heading back to Detroit on Wednesday for Game Five.
