Are the Cavaliers finally headed in the right direction?

  • Collin Sexton’s development

The biggest improvement this season has been 2018 lottery pick Collin Sexton.  He has played in all 65 games averaging 20.8 points & three assists while shooting 47% from the floor including 38% from three.

Over his last 11 games Sexton has averaged 25.4 points & 4.2 assists improving his shooting to 52.8% including 43% from deep.  The biggest development in Sexton’s game, especially in the second half of the season, has been his willingness to pass and get teammates involved.

Last season and early on in the 2019/20 campaign Sexton held the ball too much often irritating wide open teammates.  There aren’t many guards in the league with his combination of quickness and ability to score the basketball.  Although his future role (starter or instant offense 6th man) is undefined, Sexton definitely has a bright future in Cleveland.
