3 Questions Facing Bachelorette Nation

This recap is brought to you by Enhance Ability LLC.  You can hear more about them here. https://keeonsports.podbean.com/e/start-your-career-with-enhance-ability-llc/

Before we get to this week’s article, I want to take a moment to say something from the heart.  Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.  My father told me that when I was very young and I will never forget it.  It speaks volumes and continues to ring true every day of my life.

From day one watching this season I have been rooting for several people, one of which is Ben.  He came across honest and humble and even a little shy.  His backstory of coming from a family that wanted everything and everyone to be perfect, only to disappoint them with a weight problem is deep.  Then to see what he became, also joining the military and just seems to be a stand-up guy is worth noting and worth respecting.

I really like Ben, for a show that calls itself “reality based”, it seldom is.  But the stories this season are ones that will tug on your heart strings.  His is one that is easy to get behind and it will be very interesting to see where it goes.

His talks of suicide were heart wrenching to listen too, because it is moments like that in which you just want to reach out and give someone a hug. I don’t know if a 100 people will read this, or 100,000, each week is very different, regardless, I will say this.

“You’re never alone, even when you think you are, you are not.  God is watching over you, and so are the spirits before you that went to Heaven.  You have a cell phone, most likely the same one you are reading this very article on.  Call someone, text someone, do whatever you have to do to get help, but please know that your life is worth something before ending.”

Is the world fair?  No, it is not, most times it is more challenging then what any of us thought possible, but you face a lot of the same challenges many others do.  You will get through it, you may not end up on a hit television show like Ben, but you will get through it.

He opened to Tayshia about all of this tonight, and for it was rewarded with a rose and a trip back home for her to meet his family.  Well, his sister at least as it appears, he doesn’t have much of a relationship with his parents. Again, time will tell.

3 men who won’t be going on next week’s Home Town Dates are Demar, Ed and Spencer.  None of which surprises me as you read in my prior article predicting that would happen.  Ed never did much with his alone time with Tayshia other then dime others out.  Spencer started off red hot but then faded fast and was never heard from again.

As for Demar, I couldn’t tell you a single thing about him because we never got the chance to meet him.  Demar and Eazy may have been the faces and figures they used to push the commercials and billboards early on, but it was clear quickly that neither stood a shot.

Look at the body types of the guys left compared to the hulking figures of Demar and Eazy, not even close.  Remember ladies, just because you may like the “tall dark and handsome football player”, doesn’t mean Tayshia does.  She appears to be going heart over looks thus far.

Perhaps the biggest question coming out of this episode surrounds Bennett.  What in the hell happened there?  Is he just mis-understood or is he arrogant?  How and why did the producers allow him to show up on set after getting sent home to start the episode this week?  It is not fair for him to get a second chance when others never do.  I found that to be really strange. Either way, he is back for at least one more night.

Zach admitted to cheating on the group date but after having some time to think about it, created some crazy story about being a kid when he was confronted by Tayshia about it.  He’s lying folks. I hope she doesn’t believe him, and she really needs to send him on his way quickly as once a cheater, always a cheater.

Poor Riley, I just wanted to give him a hug.  The more we learn about him, the more we like.  It is apparent that something really bad happened that caused his mother to be pulled from his life for many years.  I have nothing but respect for him as he re-created a bond with his mother, and heard her side of whatever happened.  If he gets a hometown date, it’s going to be very interesting to learn more about his past.

Here are the 3 questions and answers for next week.

  1. Will Blake still get a solo date?

A: I’m not real sure about this one.  They seem to be running out of time, and with Bennett back on the scene they will have to squeeze a lot out of next weeks two episodes.  My thought is that he gets a solo date but it ends early and he is sent home.

  1. Can Zach be trusted?

A: No!  This guy has come across a bit shady since day one, and if he expects anyone to believe a story from a bowling alley when he was in the sixth grade, he is grasping for straws.

  1. Which four will advance to the hometown dates?

A: Ben is already in as he received a rose after his solo date.  I believe she also advances forward with Riley, Brendan and Ivan.  Riley just seems so genuine and they do appear to have such a cute chemistry together.  Brendan, she is clearly falling in love with and nothing seems forced, he is still the favorite to win the show.  The smart money is on Zach because he just seems to slide his way in, however, I have been behind Ivan the underdog since day one!

Going home will be Blake because of lack of chemistry and the time to develop it.  Zach because I simply don’t trust the man.  Bennett because of the arrogance and just the awkwardness we have seen with him.

Noah is the wildcard in all of this.  Rumors have it that he does make it to the final two.  Yes, I said final two!  However, we saw him on the “Guys Tell All” preview, so who really knows.  Also, in that preview we hear Ed say, “Why are you even here?” The producers will always keep you guessing.

Next week Monday I think we see the Blake Solo date, Blake getting sent home and then Noah, Bennett and Zach getting sent home as well.

Tuesday, we will get the hometown dates and the Men Tell All.
