Highland extended their winning streak to two games with a 55-20 running clock victory over Avon Lake. Sophomore quarterback Colton Wadle made his first ever start and was perfect, going 11-11 through the air for 270 yards, accounting for six touchdowns (four passing, two rushing). Senior Ben Radigan was a big help, hauling in three catches for 128 yards and a touchdown. The Hornets make their Suburban League National Conference debut Friday night when they host Nordonia (3-0).
