SWC Player of the Year
Olmsted Falls RB Rocco Conti
Reason – Rocco Conti is one of the most electric players not just in the SWC, but the entire OHSAA. He picked up where the greats like Spellacy, Howard, Dailey, Parkowski and Lombardo left off in this incredible triple option offense. Conti is the definition of the word game changer and can impact a game in multiple ways.
Conti ran for a SWC high 1,029 yards on 136 attempts with an incredible 20 touchdowns (tied with Jakorion Caffey of Avon) for a SWC high. He was such an incredible duel threat though as he had well over 1,000 yards in kick returns along with 16 catches for 204 yards. Add everything up, and that is well over 2,000 total yards for a student athlete who also long snapped!
Also mix in the fact that he shared the carries with backs such as Michael Candow, Jack Pincheck, Luke Dieckman and Clay Vormelker, and it becomes even more impressive. Not to mention, a running quarterback in Charlie Ciolek who also put up 496 yards himself and it is just unheard of.
If you’re an offensive lineman on the Bulldogs, pat your self on the back because you just did a job for the ages! Such names include
LT – Andy Voisinet
LG – Ramee Awad
C – Colin Simon
RG – Danny Reiser
RT – Dominic Rivera
Perhaps what is best about Rocco is that he plays with a smile on his face all game long. He is a competitor and competes every single play as well. It’s almost scary to think he is only a junior and will continue to grow.
Congrats to Rocco Conti from everyone at Kee On Sports for being named the 2021 Kee On Sports SWC Player of the Year.
I’d challenge this with Isaiah Johnson from Elyria
