The Diamond In The Rough

Torre Weatherspoon

Any team that goes 0-10, clearly had a few things against them.  The Amherst Comets had a rough season, but in the middle of all of that was young Torre Weatherspoon who was having an incredible senior year.

If you recall, last year he and brother Ty along with Tyler Brezina made up an explosive offense.  His brother and Tyler may have graduated, but Torre never missed a beat, in fact he thrived in his featured role.  Weatherspoon would finish with 509 yards on just 86 carries for the Comets.  He also caught 11 balls for 260 yards. He scored 7 touchdowns and was a threat to take it to the house every time he touched the ball.  He also had two interceptions on defense. He did it all!

His special teams work was next level as seen in the North Olmsted game where he had a monster first half. Our hat is off to Weatherspoon, it was a joy to watch you play young man.  Best of luck!
