WWE WRESTLEMANIA XL Night One Coolest Moments!

WWE WrestleMania XL had some incredible night one moments, each perhaps bigger than the last!  The 72,543 fans in attendance were not short on passion, and they let the Superstars feel it all night long!  Here are some of the coolest moments from tonight’s show.

The entrances of Rhea Ripley and Becky Lynch.

There wasn’t much doubt in the outcome of Ripley retaining, but at least the entrances gave everyone a nice pop.  Ripley came out to a live band, Motionless in White, the same group that plays her entrance song.  Becky Lynch came out with emotional and powerful passages from her book being heard over the loud speakers and Titan Tron.  The match itself was good, but the best part was the start.

The entire Tag Team Six Way Ladder Title match was incredible.

Sometimes AEW can be a little too much of a spot fest, but tonight, the WWE roster showed them how to actually do it and put on a great match while doing so.  Each bump, bigger then the last and with meaning, not to just “be done” for the sake of popping the crowd.  This was perhaps the greatest ladder match WrestleMania has seen since the vaunted TLC II match at WrestleMania X7.  AEW, take note.

The Bray Wyatt Firefly moment.

Coming back from a promo, we were treated to the entire stadium lit up with fire fly’s as they blasted the Bray Wyatt “Fiend” Music.  Hard not to get a small lump in your throat during that tribute.

Two huge high spots in the Escobar & Dominik vs LWO match.

The double cross body with Rey Rey on Andrade’s shoulders was spot on, and a move you do not typically see.  As good as that was, the Del Toro Sling shot 14 yards deep into a see of Escobar and company, was perhaps the coolest move of the night.

The Yeet vs No Yeet Punch Off

A small twist to the normal, “Yay  vs Boo” punch off some matches tend to feature.  Sadly, it was one of the few, if not only good moment in this match that underwhelmed between the Uso Brothers.

The Geisha Girls entrance for Damage CTRL

Cool stuff here as the Geisha Girls accompanied Damage CTRL to the ring.  Really, not much more to say than that.

Jade Cargill pins Dakota Kai

Tony Khan is a complete idiot and every time Cargill performs is a nice reminder of that.  To think he would kill the undefeated streak of a star that bright, for a sometimes healthy, somewhat fan favorite in Kris Statlander proved how clueless he is.  Cargill soon left for the WWE and hasn’t looked back.  If her star continues to rise, you will see her vs Rhea Ripley main eventing Night One next year, count on it!

The Rock comes out to his “Heel Rock” music.

This is the same intro song he used back in 2003, during his greatest Heel Run of all time.  This song along with the Belt he created for himself, screamed arrogance and fits his current character perfectly.  I’m LOVING this version of The Rock!

The Entire Sami Zayn experience tonight

Hard not to be inspired and ecstatic from everything Zayn tonight.  From the backstage walk to the ring being stopped by his wife and son, his trainer Chad Gable and then his best friend Kevin Owens, simply impossible not to get pumped up for him.  Then, he and Gunther put together a five-star classic on top of it.  An emotional win for Zayn and now the path for Gunther to go after the WWE World Title is wide open.
