Penta (c) vs. Ethan Page for the Men’s Intercontinental Championship
Result- Penta retains
Reaction – This was a great match and even in a loss, Page got over to the point that fans will see him as a threat on the main roster. Penta will be the IC champ for several more months unless there is a surprise none of us see coming. This would have been the time to switch.
Logan Paul & Austin Theory (c) vs. The Street Profits for the World Tag Team Championship
Result- The Vision retains
Reaction – A great win for the Vision to keep them strong, but overall a weak main event in my book. If you’re going to split up the Street Profits, then do it already. This is once again getting old quickly.
Brie Bella & Paige (c) vs. Nia Jax & Lash Legend for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship
Result- Bri and Paige retain
Reaction – The key thing here is the pre-match promo from Paige reminding everyone over and over that it was supposed to be Nikki as part of the team. It seemed off for her to remind everyone of that several times over. I feel as though it is only a matter of time before Nikki returns to bust open the team as the Bella’s work better as heels.
WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss vs. Jade Cargill, Michin & B-Fab
Result- Jade Cargill pins Ripley
Reaction – This is perfect booking as they advanced two storylines here. One, you need Cargil to get a pin on Ripley to further give her credit going into their rematch next week in Italy, she has to look like a viable threat. Two, they are headed for an eventual showdown at SummerSlam with Charlotte and Ripley. This only furthers that seed along as well.
Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch vs. Sol Ruca in a Non-Title Match
Result- Ruca wins a short match by DQ
Reaction – Smart to keep this short with no real action. Reason being now you have a match everyone wants to see play out next week in Italy for the title. Lynch is doing the best work of her career right now. Think about it, you never hear about Tiffy Time like you did before, Live Morgan has lost all steam and all eyes are on Lynch. She is killing this role right now and shockingly has made the RAW Women’s IC Championship the most important belt on the woman roster. Who saw that coming?
Becky Lynch and Sol Ruca were on screen less then 10 minutes last night and came out of the show the most talked about angle on the show. Both are cooking right now and their match in Italy will have stiff competition with 3 heavy hitters headlining the card, but I suspect them to hold their own.
