WWE RAW In Cleveland Bullet Points

WWE Raw was in Cleveland last night and I was privelaged to be credentialed to cover it in person. Here are some bullet points from the show that stood out.

Bayley, Io Sky and Dakota Kai are getting over as heel trio. Mix in the fact that Bayley will eventually get back in the ring herself, and possibly take the strap off Bianca Belair.  I also feel that Sky and Kai are a lock to win the Women’s Tag Tournament.

Montez Ford works his ass off to connect with the crowd even when he’s not in the ring. When you are there in person and can see everything the camera doesn’t pick up, it adds another layer to the program.  Ford, never stops hustling.

It’s only a matter of time before Dom turns on his father.  And, it’s almost comical that they spent months trying to make Edge the ultimate bad guy and now he is trying to be, “Mr. Good Guy” again.  Love Edge, but not buying it.

Poor Ezekiel / Elias, he spent at least 10 minutes in the ring, standing in the dark, watching promo’s, ad spots, video packages and other people talk.  KO comes to the ring and ends his night in 30 seconds.  Clearly, he is done moving forward.

Rey Mysterio and Fin Balor had an INCREDIBLE match that the crowd continued to get behind, despite the longer length.  The same could be said for AJ Styles vs The Miz and also Ciampa challenging and failing to take the US Title from Bobby Lashley.  3 great matches.

Sadly, the same couldn’t be said for Ziggler and Gable placing so many amateur holds into their match last night.  While I personally loved it, including the Jimmy Smith shout outs to St. Ed’s and Kent State, the match didn’t get over.

The pushes of Ziggler and Zeke may be over soon.  You can toss Omos in that mix as well as he was regulated to the corny two jobbers vs one giant match.

All in all a good show,  I just wish The Miz wasn’t the main event.

Next weeks prediction, Alexa Bliss and Asuka will go through Doudrop and Nikki ASH like a hot knife through butter.
