by Myles Borne def. Tavion Heights in a Weapons Wild Match
Reaction – Cool to see an old school Spin the Wheel Make the Deal Match. This will go a long way in establishing Borne as a badass heel he can work a hardcore style when needed and not just been seen as a “pretty boy” form of heel. Myles Borne is good in the ring but he showed tonight that there are several facets to his game.
Izzi Dame def. Zaria via pinfall in a non title match
Reaction – I’ll never understand why you have a champion in a single match like this without the title on the line. The second I saw that it was a non title match, wrestling logic tells you the champion is not going to win, they have nothing to gain. An odd placement for a match that could have been on their weekly show.
Zilla Fatu Defeats Charlie Dempsey
Reaction – I know the rumor that Fatu is headed to the main roster in the next few weeks but I think that is a bit rushed. Right now, NXT is the perfect fit for him and I’m not sure why the need, tonight proved that he is in the right place.
Kelani Jordan retains her NXT Women’s World Championship over Wren Sinclair
Reaction – This was an exemptional match, Jordan made us believe she was going to tap and then seconds later was getting the win. Jordan is very good in this role and I would like to see her reign at the top of NXT for quite some time, she is one of the best in ring performers they have on the female roster.
Shiloh Hill defeated Naraku by pinfall in a cinematic match
Reaction – This was awful, I know they were tapping into the whole Halloween “Spooky” gimmick, but a straight match with Naraku going over would have made more sense. He came in with so much hype from ROH and has done absolutely nothing in the 6 months he has been here. I don’t know, Naraku may go down as a giant, “what if”.
Grayson Waller defeats Tony D’Angelo to retain the NXT World Championship
Reaction – Great match highlighted by a video appearance of CM Punk calling out Grayson Waller. A solid match for D’Angelo but pretty much solidifies his days challenging for a world title are done.
