WWE Blows Golden Opportunity to Make Young Star

After brilliant runs in ROH and NXT, fans have been waiting for Roxanne Perez to have that breakout moment on the Main Roster of WWE.  This past weekends MITB PLE would have been the perfect time for that exact moment.  The WWE knew they were going with Liv Morgan in the Women’s Title match, so why not give the fans what they have been craving and have Roxanne Perez win the earlier MITB match and eventually cash in on Liv?

Since Perez joined The Judgement Day back in June of 2025, it seems like it was only a matter of time before she turned against them and went off on her own.  From teasing a relationship with Dirty Dom while Live was away, the stones have always been set in place.  Heck, you know the WWE has faith in her, she was a multi time NXT Women’s World Champion and even her first night in WWE was memorable.

If you recall, back at WWE Royal Rumble 2025 in Indy, she set the record for the longest time spent in a women’s Royal Rumble match at 1 hour, 7 minutes and 45 second; she entered at number 3 and finished as the runner up, last eliminated by eventual winner Charlotte Flair.

Perez has been excellent in the ring and gained crowd approval as a Heel, which is always a clear cut sign she is doing all the right things.  When RAW was in her own hometown of Laredo Texas earlier this year, she received the biggest cheers of the night.  Time and time again it is Perez that steals the show in any match she is in, but yet, she continues to play fifth fiddle in the Judgement Day, when Finn Balor was still around, she was playing sixth fiddle.

The WWE had a tailor made storyline with Perez land in their lap and instead decided to go with Tiffany Stratton again.  Now, don’t get me wrong, Stratton has also done an excellent job and earned every push she has received, but her cashing in the briefcase has already been done.

If they are pushing Stratton to turn against her friend Chelsea Green and take her title, they didn’t need the MITB to do that.  The storyline is already set up as Green accidentally cost Stratton her United States Championship back in August and this is something that would make easy sense to simply turn Stratton heel on her own without the need of the briefcase.

So now, WWE will once again do the predictable thing and have Stratton turn on Green while Perez takes a backseat and continues to wait. Why?
