Witches & Kisses on This Week’s Episode of “The Bachelor”

Greer has a little poetic justice served up with a bout of Covid to start the show.  Well, a week after she mocked Zach for being sick, then tried to make up for it by comparing his Covid to missing her sales quota, she has caught the bug, and will be sitting out this week.  Zach is told the news to start the show, and does his best to show concern, but in the end, is completely unfazed.

Charity gets the first one on one date, which is only right but before it can get underway, Kat pulls Zach outside in the hall and lays a kiss on him.  Now, normally this would not be a big deal, but when you factor in that he was there for Charity, I can see why this is not kosher.  The other girls smell blood in the water and quickly let Kat know they don’t care for her power play.

Meanwhile, Zach and Charity are off to a wife carrying competition with Jesse Palmer cheering them on in the crowd. The date was nice, and of course, capped off by the usual sob story at dinner.  That portion of this show is really driving me nuts, and it just earns more respect for Gabi who went on the solo date last week and actually didn’t play that card for once.

Side note here, 99% of the women who come on this show are stunning, why are they all dating jerks before they go on this show?  I mean, stop and think about it for a second, they must have their pick of the litter.  Why do they have to

A – Go on a reality show to meet a man?

B- Have a history of dating idiots beforehand.

C – Consider they are “dating” someone at the same time he is making out with 15 other women, yet that’s ok?

Okay, back to the episode.  The group date leads the gang to a healing witch, which may be a good idea with the venom Brooklyn has been spewing towards Kat thus far.  Meanwhile, Jess won’t stop crying because she is on the group date, and not the solo date, as she is the last one not to be picked.  She plays the “woes me” card pretty much the entire time.

Zach tells Jess about 50x in a row that he feels confident about them, but she refuses to listen and just keeps pushing him until the point where he breaks.  She keeps picking the fight until he finally tells her that he is not feeling it.  She seems to take EVERYTHING personal, and her time on the show has come to an end.

Zach started off the conversion with her so well, and she wouldn’t listen and just kept pecking at him.  He genuinely seemed confused and upset.  If she simply trusted in what he told her, she’d still be around, but having an argument seemed more important to her.

Here’ the capper folks, he then decides not to give out a rose on the group date because he is to upset.  Who knows, maybe he had planned on giving it to Jess after all?  What a hot mess!

Now it is time for the nice relaxing day with Ariel.  Remember her?  The girl I said he was only interested in her looks.  Well, where does he bring her, but a nudist sauna eh?  I wasn’t far off……  She gets a rose after it turns out she has a pretty great personality and seems to be a genuine good-hearted person! She is now up with Gabi in my top 2.

In the end, he keeps 6 total to advance to the next round and sends home Aly.
