Westlake Dominates North Ridgeville in 3-0 Victory

Westlake controlled possession and capitalized on its scoring opportunities to earn a 3-0 victory over North Ridgeville. The Demons struck three times in the first half, using offensive pressure and key scoring opportunities to build a commanding lead.

 

Westlake got on the board at the 34:14 mark of the first half when Colin McGregor found the back of the net to give the Demons a 1-0 advantage. Westlake continued to control possession and put pressure on the North Ridgeville defense.

 

The Demons doubled their lead at the 17:50 mark when Luke Brediger scored off an assist from Jake Shreffler, making it 2-0. Westlake kept the pressure on and earned another scoring opportunity when North Ridgeville committed a foul inside the box, resulting in a penalty kick.

 

McGregor converted the penalty kick at the 15:30 mark, extending Westlake’s lead to 3-0. The Demons maintained control for the remainder of the first half, limiting North Ridgeville’s opportunities to build an attack.

 

North Ridgeville struggled to generate shots on goal, while Westlake continued to dictate possession. The Rangers recorded just three shots across both halves, compared with 14 for Westlake. North Ridgeville goalkeeper Micah Braun recorded 15 saves across the two halves, making several stops to prevent the deficit from growing.

 

Westlake’s defense remained solid throughout the second half, keeping North Ridgeville off the scoreboard and preserving the shutout.
