The Demons defeated North Olmsted 6-1 on Tuesday at Westlake.
Cydney Loucka went back-to-back days on the mound vs North Olmsted. She did a great job helping lead the Demons to victory by striking out 5, walking 3, and allowing just 2 hits in the game.
Defensively, the Demons needed to step up and make plays knowing that the Eagles do a great job putting the ball in play. They can hit and bunt very well. Elena Scott and Morgan Outrich both had one hit.
Offensively, the bats started to come alive for the Demons. They had 8 hits and scored 6 runs. Eleni Salveter got the Demons on the board first with her triple. Megan Forshey and Cydney Loucka both had 2 hits, while Riley Knapp, Trudy Rocco, Eleni Salveter, and Maeve Stofko all had one hit a piece. Katherine England and Riley Knapp did a great job bunting to advance our runners. Megan Forshey, Riley Knapp, Trudy Rocco, and Eleni Salveter all had an RBI.
The Demons and Eagles split in the series. The Demons play Buckeye at Westlake on Thursday at 5:00.
