VIDEO: Revere dominates from start-to-finish en route to 16-1 win over Solon

Solon, Ohio – The Revere Minutemen moved back to .500 with a 16-1 win over Solon on Tuesday night at Stewart Field.

Revere won the opening draw, and that was a sign of positive things to come for the Minutemen that evening. They capitalized, resulting in the first goal of the game from sophomore midfielder Taylor Catlett off the assist from Lola Downing.

Clainey Penzenik added a goal just over three minutes later to increase the lead to 2-0. Kyra Perez added one of her own to increase the lead to 3-0. Clarissa Bodjanac got in on the goal-scoring fun for Revere, adding her first goal of the game at the 6:04 mark of the first quarter. This increased the Minutemen lead to 4-0. She added two more goals before the end of the quarter to make the score 6-0 in favor of Revere.

Catlett added her second goal of the game with 4:48 left in the first half. This increased the Revere lead to 7-0. Bentley Huffman and Sam Nations added goals 37 seconds apart, pushing the lead to 9-0 at the half.

In the third quarter, Bentley Huffman added her second goal of the game, increasing the lead to 10-0.

Solon got on the board with a goal from sophomore midfielder Lacey Fox at the 3:00 mark of the third quarter.

In the fourth quarter, Revere added six goals. The first came from Lola Dunning with 11:22 left, re-starting the running clock. Taylor Catlett, Clainey Penzenik, Clarissa Bodjanac (2), and Sam Nations all added goals of the own for the final margin.

Revere will host rival Copley on Thursday, April 18th. Solon will host Brecksville the same night in a Suburban League contest.
