Cleveland Heights Tigers (6-1, Last Week: 42-28 vs. Solon)
The Tigers extended their win streak to five and stayed unbeaten in the Greater Cleveland Conference with a 42-28 win over Solon. Star RB Marquise Davis continued his Mr. Football campaign with 290 yards and all six Heights touchdowns. This week, the Tigers host the Medina Bees (5-2) in a battle atop the GCC.
Medina Bees (5-2, Last Week: 56-21 vs. Strongsville)
The Bees are starting to roll at the right time and took down the Mustangs 56-21 at home last Friday night. QB Danny Stoddard accounted for six touchdowns in one half of play, five passing, and one rushing. Medina will square off with Cleveland Heights (6-1) Friday night for the top GCC spot and playoff position in Region 1.
Riverside Beavers (7-0, Last Week: 43-14 @ Eastlake North)
The Beavers got out to a 34-0 lead and took down Western Reserve Conference foe Eastlake North 43-14. QB Mikey Maloney went 11-17 for 180 yards and a touchdown, along with 36 yards and a score on the ground in the first half. RB Jason Mackey added 153 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. The Beavers face a stiff test Friday night in the Kenston Bombers.
Wadsworth Grizzlies (6-1, Last Week: 55-14 @ Nordonia)
The Grizzlies continued their Suburban-American unbeaten streak with a 55-14 romp over the Knights. QB Will Stack led the way offensively with five total touchdowns, including a 24-yard pass to kick off the scoring. In control of their destiny for the conference crown, Wadsworth will host Stow-Munroe Falls (1-6) Friday night.
