Liberty, Ohio – The Warren JFK Eagles shut out the visiting Rootstown Rovers, 33-0, on homecoming night at Leopard Stadium.

Nic Malek picked off a pass on defense for Rootstown, setting the Rovers up with great field position. However, the JFK defense came up with a stop.

The Eagles looked to add to their lead late in the first half, driving to the Rootstown 5. However, the Rover defense held the line and got the ball back on downs.

Nevertheless, the Eagles had great field position to start their drive. Caleb Hadley found Lamarcus Provitt for a 20-yard touchdown reception to increase the Eagle lead to 20-0 with 4:38 left in the third.

Later in the same quarter, Hadley would take a quarterback keeper 18 yards to the house. This increased the lead to 27-0 with :35 left in the third.

Sophomore running back Thomas Easton had a 38-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter to cap the scoring.

Warren JFK senior Thomas Valent had a pair of interceptions in the second half to aid the winning effort.
