War on the Shore XXVII Set For Sept 19th

Professional Boxing Returns to Cleveland September 19 for War on the Shore XXVII

CLEVELAND, OHIO — Professional boxing returns to Cleveland on Saturday, September 19, 2026, when Gedeon Promotions presents War on the Shore XXVII at the historic LaSalle Theater.

The event marks the 27th installment of War on the Shore, a series built around showcasing Northeast Ohio fighters and giving local boxing fans an exciting and affordable night of professional boxing.

The promotion is led by Allegra Gedeon, who became the first woman to promote a sanctioned professional boxing event in the state of Ohio. War on the Shore XXVII will mark Gedeon’s 12th professional boxing card as a promoter since making Ohio boxing history. Alongside her husband, Bryan Gedeon, Allegra helped transition the organization’s successful amateur boxing series into professional events.

Popular Cleveland Fighter Nick Rezek Headlines

One of the most popular fighters on the card, Cleveland’s Nick Rezek (7-2, 3 KOs) will headline the evening against Anthony Reeves (3-1, 3 KOs) of Marietta, Georgia.

Rezek trains out of The Fight Factory of Cleveland, run by Bryan Gedeon, a two-time Hall of Fame inductee with the Ohio Fighters & Sports Boxing Association (OFSBA) and the Ohio Boxing Hall of Fame. Rezek will once again have the opportunity to compete in front of his hometown crowd.

Jordan Gruszewski Looks to Rebound in Co-Main Event

The co-main event features Cleveland’s Jordan Gruszewski (5-2, 4 KOs) against Ontario Johnson (2-4, 1 KO) of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Gruszewski, who also trains at The Fight Factory of Cleveland, will be looking to get back into the win column after suffering a loss on Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) card in June.

Featured Fight: Ford vs. El-Amin

Another intriguing matchup will see Ryizeemmion Ford (12-6, 9 KOs) of Alliance, Ohio, take on Kashif El-Amin (3-4-1) of Wilmington, North Carolina.

Ford enters the bout riding a four-fight winning streak and will be looking to make it five consecutive victories on September 19.

El-Amin comes to Cleveland with momentum of his own after scoring a major upset victory over previously undefeated Brandon Vega, who entered their fight with a 5-0 record.

With Ford chasing his fifth straight victory and El-Amin looking to build on a career-boosting upset, the matchup adds another compelling storyline to the card.

Cleveland Pros Round Out the Announced Card

Undefeated Cleveland prospect Dylan Prpic (2-0, 2 KOs) will face Alex Looman (0-0-1) of Shinnston, West Virginia.

Another unbeaten Cleveland professional, Khalil Osaze (3-0, 2 KOs), will meet fellow Cleveland fighter Shawn Rall (4-7, 3 KOs).

Cleveland’s Malik Morris (1-0, 1 KO) will take on Sean Schultz (1-2, 1 KO) of Indianapolis, Indiana. Morris, like Rezek and Gruszewski, trains out of The Fight Factory of Cleveland.

The card will also feature a matchup between two fighters making their professional debuts, as Cleveland’s Nathan LaRocco takes on Cameron Schroeder of Erie, Pennsylvania. Both fighters will step into the professional ranks for the first time on September 19.

With the addition of LaRocco, the announced card currently features seven Cleveland fighters, continuing Gedeon Promotions’ emphasis on giving local boxers the opportunity to compete at home in front of the people who support them.

“This gives them a chance to fight at home in front of their friends, family and sponsors,” Allegra said. “What better way is there to build a career for these young, up-and-coming professionals?”

The connection between Gedeon Promotions’ amateur and professional events is especially evident on the September 19 card.

“The majority of the professional fighters from Cleveland who are on this card fought on our shows as amateurs,” Allegra said. “We have helped guide them and given them the opportunity to compete and grow, and they sure have made the most of it.”

Gedeon Promotions is also working to finalize several additional bouts for September 19, with more fight announcements expected as the event approaches.
