Wadsworth Defeats North Royalton 49-0

Wadsworth beat North Royalton 49-0 behind Kyle Figuray who had 14 rushes, 175 yards, and 2 touchdowns. Wadsworth’s offense was able to execute on almost every drive of the game. The Grizzlies came out the gate utilizing the passing game. Their success in the passing game allowed their run game to thrive off it. Their defense played great, holding North Royalton to zero points. Their front seven was able to get pressure on the quarterback and clog the lineup scrimmage all night long.

 

North Royalton’s offense couldn’t find much success. They allowed a lot of pressure which threw off their timing and efficiency in all facets of the offense. Their defense had no answer for Wadsworth’s fast paced offense. Their defense was spread out early due to the passing attack, and Wadsworth was able to take advantage of that on the ground and in the air.

 

After a punt by North Royalton, Tyler Probst returned the punt to the 11-yard line. On Wadsworth’s opening play of the game, Will Stack threw a 11-yard touchdown. North Royalton started to put together a good drive, but a holding penalty set them back and led to a punt. The Grizzlies put together a long drive that ended in a 11-yard passing touchdown to Gavin Madigan to extend their lead to 14-0.

 

Wadsworth running back Kyle Figuray stiff-armed a defender on his way to scoring an 80-yard rushing touchdown to extend their lead to 21-0. North Royalton fumbled the ball giving Wadsworth possession on the Bears 49-yard line. After driving down the field using a heavy dose of pass plays, Will Stack ran it in for a 9 yard touchdown to put Wadsworth up 28-0. The Grizzlies drove down the field, and Kyle Figuray got another touchdown on a 25 yard run to push the lead to 35-0.

 

To start the second half Wadsworth was pushed back due to a couple of penalties, Stoops dumped it off to Figuray who took the ball all the way inside North Royalton’s 30 yard line. Nathan Metzger ran it in for a 3 yard touchdown to go up 42-0. Wadsworth forces a fumble to regain possession on North Royalton’s 15 yard line. Ryan Stoops ran it in from the 10 yard line to increase the lead for the final time.
