In what could be the fight of 2022 through April, these two tore down the house in a 3 round blood bath as both men left it all in the cage. Each got rocked by several thunderous shots but kept coming back. It seemed numerous times that Burns may be in trouble before firing back and making everyone gasp. This fight was outstanding!
In the end, Khamzat Chimaev used a solid first round and great start to the third round to win 29-28 on all three cards. Burns looked solid, but Khamzat Chimaev just kept the pressure on and proved he is ready for the top competition in the world.
