by It is sad but true, Walk About Wednesdays in Olmsted Falls is a HARD PASS! For two straight years the business of Pacific Junction have tried this concept and for two consecutive years, it has been awful.
Promoted as “family fun”, it truly isn’t as there is absolutely nothing for children other then the pre-existing ice cream stand, which would be there any other day of the summer.
I repeat, there is absolutely nothing special about this event and it is a giant waste of time as with the sole exception of Matteo’s having a Sauced Food Truck, which they own anyway and the popcorn store having some random guy outside trying to play music, there is nothing that you wouldn’t see on any of the other 364 days of the year.
No sidewalk sales
No games, no special food trucks or snack stands, nothing!
Pretty much nothing on the sidewalks other than the pizza truck owned by Matteo’s.
The store employees generally seem angry that they have to stay open until 8 instead of getting to go home at 6 as usual.
I mean, let’s call this what it is, a desperate ploy to increase slow summer sales, that’s honestly it!
Just go on a Saturday afternoon, it will be EXACTLY the same thing you see on “Walk About Wednesdays”. Save your time, save your money, do something fun instead!
