The Iron Claw: Five Major Mistakes in the Film

Fritz Von Erich sold the WCCW to Jerry Jarrett of the USWA

In the movie, they depict Kevin Von Erich desperate to sell the WCCW to Jarrett, because he was going broke and his father Fritz, had already given him the company to run.  This was the cause of a major rift in the film.  In truth, in reality, Fritz sold the company to Jarrett against the wishes of Kevin.  So yes, they bungled that one pretty badly.

  1. Very good review. I noticed all 5 points you discussed. Give Iron Claw another 90 minutes and the makers could have effectively told the Chris and Lance stories. Other points were embellished to build an compelling narrative.
