The Browns Are Now On The Clock And Their Pick Is In

For the first time in more years than most of us can remember, the Cleveland Browns entire future doesn’t ride on one draft pick in the middle of spring.

Instead, John Dorsey has built what appears to be a winning roster on paper. The NFL Draft is no longer our personal Super Bowl.

It doesn’t mean were not going to watch it however. And that goes for all three days for us  football junkies!

Despite the great growth of this roster, and the excellent offseason thus far, the Browns still have plenty of holes. (we do, take a deep breath)

The Browns as of now, have 8 selections and that can increase or decrease at any moment, so stay tuned.

But what do they need the most?

QB – Who will back up Baker Mayfield when he goes down? We don’t want him to, but this is Cleveland and it happens every year.  Are you ready to stand put with Drew Stanton, or do we take a strong arm in the 5th or 6th round just in case?

RB – We seem loaded at this position, but we will miss Hunt for 8 games, and Duke Johnson seems to want out of town. Again, I feel you go late round (5th or 6th) with this pick.

OL – Greg Robinson was a pleasant surprise last year, but only has one year left on his contract. Also, we lost one of our best lineman from last year, Kevin Zeitler.  Do we trust Austin Corbett?  Everyone wants defense with the 49th pick, I say go offensive linemen.

K – Do we dare take a kicker? I say heck yeah we do.  Our kicking situation was one of the worst in the league last year.  It burned the Browns, and kept them from possibly making the playoffs. Grab the best kicker on the board in the 4th round.

LB – With Kirko and Schobert we are top heavy at this position, but also have very little depth. I would expect Dorsey to take the best LB available with their first pick, whenever that may be.
