The 2021-2022 inaugural season of YOUR Burning River Buckets has come to an end. It is difficult to put into words how humbled & thankful we are! The historic American Basketball Association is comprised of over 150 teams globally and we finished #8.
Although we kept our promise of bringing a title to Lake County when we won the ABA North Central Region Title, the National Championship was within our grasp and next season we will bring that trophy home! The infrastructure is in place, and we are happy to announce that WE WILL BE BACK FOR A SECOND SEASON!
We are a team from top to bottom and we do not single out individuality. There are so many people that made this historic season possible. First and foremost, our players who played their hearts out for the past seven months. Our coaching staff that put together a roster that became champions, but more importantly a family.
Our front office staff, from sales, to graphics, ticketing, statistics, game day broadcasters and announcers. Our loyal ticket holders who believed in us every moment of every day even when we were feeling down.
Our sponsors, who placed their faith and treasure in us when many did not believe! You did! Thank you to the Mentor Athletic Complex and all those involved with this beautiful facility for allowing us the privilege to have a place called home!
There will be many years of Burning River Buckets Basketball in Lake County, but this first year will always be extra special because of all of you that believed in us, trusted us, and gave us the platform to do what we do best. We love each and everyone of you as family and we are forever grateful.
Next season you will once again see championship basketball, the best PA announcer in the business, a Buckets TV Network with silky smooth broadcasters, the introduction of Buster the Bucket Mascot, a Burning River Buckets Dance Team, the highest quality graphics and video content, a family-oriented game day & front office staff and so much more!
