The Football North Chargers traveled to Cleveland from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada to face Saint Ignatius.

The game began with an exciting scramble from Chargers quarterback Tevonte Bramwell to the Ignatius 40 yard line.

When Ignatius regained possession, the next series of drives moved them down the field, getting players like Billy Cole, Trey Haddad, and JT Hummer involved.

Charlie Blasko ran a huge gain on third down of 30 yards.

Dane Donovan has been a major player for the Cats this season. He’s reliable on 2-point conversions, and he’s not afriad to take big hits. In tonight’s game, he showed his leadership by orchestrating a long touchdown drive that matched the pace of the Chargers offense.

The score was 7-0 with 6:37 remaining in the first quarter.

Another interception by Mike Velotta came later in the first quarter.

Ignatius showed their offensive strength by intercepting Brandon Bailey twice, who had not previouisly been intercepted this season. Conversely, their opponent was showing weaknesses on passing plays, with two of the first three drives for the Chargers going onto the Ignatius side if the field and ending in 0 points.

The second quarter had another touchdown and a major turnover by the Cats.

He dived on a catch, falling one yard short of the goal line. He was looking for his first varsity touchdown.

And he got that very touchdown, making the score 38-12.

By this point, the Cats had had just under 500 total yards of offense. The Cats were really finding their stride, coordination, and confidence.

But in the final moments of the game, Football North decided they hadn’t shown enough of their team’s firepower.
