The Valley Forge Patriots began marking up the scoreboard in the first few minutes of the game when Dan Kiewel scored a 2-yard touchdown. Soon thereafter, Nick Disalvo, of the Rocky River Pirates, carried the rock 42 yards for the first Pirate touchdown. Julian Patti completed a pass to Ryan Ricketti who finished the play with a 37-yard run. Julian Patti connected on a 5-yard pass to Andrew Lang who caught it in the end zone resulting in the third Pirate touchdown of the night. Julian Patti completed a pass to Oran Grieve who punched it in for the remaining 20 yards.
A rushing Patriot scored from 10 yards out, shrinking the Pirate lead. Julian Patti threw a 20-yard pass to Andrew Lang who caught it in the Pirate end zone. To finish out the second half, Julian Patti threw a 47-yard pass to Rowan McDougal, who caught it in the Pirate end zone to score a touchdown.
The score at the end of the first half was 38-14, in favor of the Pirates.
At the start of the second half, the Pirates scored off of a 6-yard pass from Julian Patti to Ryan Ricketti. Julian Patti completed a 10-yard pass to Ryan Ricketti who finished it off by running it into the end zone. Julian Patti delivered a 40-yard strike to Oran Grieve, resulting in the final Pirate touchdown. The rest of the second half was scoreless for both teams.
On a night that featured no shortage of offensive fireworks, the Pirate defense also answered the call by holding the Patriots to 14 points.
