6 The Rock
It is not hard to understand why 4 of the final 6 names on this list were key players of the WWE Attitude Era with perhaps The Rock being the most memorable of all. Like the Macho Man, The Rock is one of the most quotable performers of all time.
He is easily seen as the coolest wrestler of all time and another guy that got better with age. Starting with the Nation of Domination, The Rock would steal the show on a nightly basis. His role in the corporation was every bit as good.
Then in late 1999 when he went full on face, there was never anything like it in wrestling. John Cena should thank The Rock for his own success in Hollywood as The Rock paved the way. It was extremely hard to keep him out of the top five because his career was that memorable!
The Rock finished his in-ring career with 7 World Championship reigns and was one half of the greatest rivalry of all time with Stone Cold Steve Austin. He is also the biggest ratings boost you will find in wrestling currently.
Behind Bret Hart, he is the second greatest second-generation wrestler of all time. Like John Cena, he is still in amazing shape, and one can help but wonder if we see him in the ring again soon!
