AFC Preseason Power Rankings

The NFL has long been the sports worlds most popular choice for entertainment.  The biggest reason is the parity that always seem to be a part of the league.  Most years we see 3 or 4 new teams in the playoffs and a lot of close games.

While I do believe this year will be no different and we can expect some changes in the NFC power structure, the AFC, as of now, seems to only be a 2 or 3 team race.  Time will tell, but that again is what makes this sport so great.

Can the Browns live up to the hype?  Can the Patriots still have a potent offense with the banged-up Edelman, the aged Brady and without the retired Gronk?  How could you ever count them out?  Has the league figured out LaMar Jackson of the Ravens?

Can Mahomes toss 50 touchdowns again and finally get Andy Reid a Superbowl ring as a head coach?  Watson and the Texans, once they win a playoff game, do they find a way to go all the way?

Can Andrew Luck stay healthy and take the Colts back to the promise land?  What about those Steelers?  Do they finally implode?

So many questions, so many choices and we haven’t even mentioned the perennial playoff appearing Phillip Rivers and the LA Chargers.  It sure does seem top heavy with those 8 teams garnering most of the headlines.  But, can any in the bottom seven make a surprise leap no one see’s coming?

Let’s get right to it with our pre-season power rankings for the AFC.
