Ranger Football On The Rise In Lakewood

The Lakewood Rangers may just be that sleeper team no one see’s coming to shock the GLC this season.  After a growing 3-7 season, Head Coach Thomas Thome will have them ready to compete and win.

The high school game has become so pass happy over the recent years, but the Rangers look to have a balanced attack on offence with Hakeem Quran returning as the first 1000-yard rusher in Lakewood since 1995.

Coach Thome had this to say about their main goal for the upcoming season, “Our goal is to be constant week in and week out, play with passion and continue to develop the program as a whole.”

Their returning starters will include

QB/S :12th Lucas Winters

RB/C: Hakeem Quran

TE/DE : Tico Jones Jr

OL/DL: Brandyn Bates

OL/DL: Othman Awad

LB/RB: Jay Goudy

LB/TE Josh Bohurjak

DB: Gavin Newlon

DL: Aidan Maxwell

OL/DL: Dylan Bennett

WR: Eddie Gillick

WR: Nick Patsouras

Their rivalry game will be the “Battle of the Bridge” at Rocky River on Sept 10th
