by PERRY, Ohio – The Perry Pirates continue to show why they are one of the top teams in Lake County and Northeast Ohio.
The Pirates improve to 5-0 on the season, 2-0 in the Chagrin Valley Conference with a convincing 42-8 win over the Painesville Harvey Red Raiders.
The host Pirates scored five times in five first half possessions. Four of those coming in the first quarter.
Quarterback Drew Schiano threw for over 300 in the first half with three touchdowns. The Pirates signal caller finished with four touchdowns on the night.
Devon Holbert, the Harvey transfer had two touchdown receptions and over 100 yards receiving.
Jaylen Anderson had a pair of touchdowns including a 50-yard reception and a 19-yard run.
Anthony Rosati has 101-yards receiving in the 1st half including a 81-yard touchdown reception. Perry took a 35-0 lead at halftime.
Gil Hammond of Harvey scored on a one yard rush in the fourth quarter to prevent a Pirates shut out.
Up next, the Pirates will travel to Orange to face the Lions. Harvey will welcome the Ashtabula Lakeside Dragons to downtown Painesville. The Red Raiders fall to 1-4 on the season.
