When you’re like my young family with daughters ages 9 and 12, you have probably taken them to the zoo at least 3 to 4 times a year for the last decade. With that said, how many times can you look at the exact same animals as they lay there doing nothing, doped out of their mind so they don’t attack? Every now and then you need a little something to up the fun and excitement of the day.
Not everything in life is free, but sometimes spending a few bucks can be well worth it and this is one of those times. Here are just a few of the ones we’d suggest trying out and having a ton of fun with!
- Eagle Zip Adventure: Soar 150 feet above Waterfowl Lake for $10 per person ($9 for Zoo members).
- Giraffe Feedings: $3 for a single leaf or $6 for three leaves.
- Swan Voyage: Rent an iconic swan-shaped paddleboat for $20 ($15 for members) to take up to 5 passengers on the lake.
- Walkabout Budgie Feedings: Purchase feed sticks in the Outback Aviary for $4 ($3 for members).
- Circle of Wildlife Carousel: $4 per rider ($3 for members).
- Wild Savings Pass: A bundled add-on pass that includes the carousel, Boomerang train, 4-D Theater, and discounts on feeding opportunities.
