Olmsted Falls and North Ridgeville faced off in a highly anticipated conference matchup and the Bulldogs came to play from start to finish.  After a close first quarter, the Bulldogs pulled away for the victory 72-46 to set up an eventual showdown with Avon Lake for a chance to win an outright SWC title.  Right now, North Ridgeville has 2 conference losses, Avon Lake has 2 and Olmsted Falls has the one.

The game tipped off and it was the defense for Olmsted Falls that was showing early. Jesse Simon was able to jump two passes early in the quarter that led to easy buckets on the other end. The Rangers were able to settle in however and Reyna Balderas was able to knock down a few threes and we had a 14-11 game after one with Olmsted Falls in front.

The second quarter is where the Bulldogs got hot from behind the arc. Danielle Cameron and Maddie Cerovac were able to each knock down two threes which was a big part in the 14-5 run to start the quarter and extend the lead to 12. Once again, the Rangers were able to weather the storm and answered with an 8-0 run of their own to cut the lead back down to four. The teams went back and forth to end the quarter but another three from Maddie Cerovac at the buzzer gave the Bulldogs a 36-26 lead heading to the locker rooms.

Danielle Cameron led the way with 15 and Grace Kingery had 10 for the Rangers.

The hot shooting continued to start the third quarter as the teams were raining in threes. Jessica Wolanin and Maddie Cerovac hit two threes, but they were answered by threes from Brooke Lime and Reyna Balderas. It wasn’t enough however, as the great defense and shooting from the Bulldogs extended the lead to 58-42 after three.

The start of the fourth is where the domination really showed. The Bulldogs were making every shot and contesting every shot on the other end leading to a 14-0 run to start the quarter and put the nail in the coffin. The buzzer would sound, and the Bulldogs took this big conference matchup 72-46.

Danielle Cameron had another big night leading all scorers with 23 points.

Coach Eaton said after the game “We have played a lot of good games this year. Tonight, we finally played a complete game.”
