Ohio State Buckeyes Secure 84-64 Win Over Miami Redhawks

The Ohio State Buckeyes men’s basketball team competed in non-conference action at The Schottenstein Center this past Wednesday night. Coming into the contest the Buckeyes were 23.5 point favorites over the Redhawks and held a 7-1 record overall and 1-0 record in Big Ten Athletic Conference (BIG-10) play. The Redhawks sat at a 4-3 record overall and 0-0 in MAC play.. The Buckeyes jumped out to a screaming lead and took the 1st half by a landslide 39-26.

The 2nd half would begin and once again the Buckeyes would dominate on the early tip. A 3 point basket by Dale Bonner and a dunk from Zed Kay would propel the Buckeyes in the closing minutes. The Buckeyes would secure the win 84-64.

 

Roddy Gayle Jr. was the high point man with 15pts and The Buckeyes shot .452 from the field, .391 from the 3 and .760 from the line. The Buckeyes win their 7th in a row and move to 8-1 (1-0) on the season while the Redhawks move to 4-4.
