Keith Lee was horrible as champion and quite frankly the decision to move the belt off of Adam Cole to him was a bad decision. Lee is not a champion, he is a big guy that fans idolize because he can move. Other than that, not much there and his microphone skills are just boring and the same exact thing every time he talks.
If he can stay healthy, don’t be surprised to see Karrion Kross have a long reign. The rumor is that he is already hurt. Let’s hope that’s not the case because a dream match against a newly face turned Adam Cole would be great.
Speaking of Cole, is he really a face? Or was that a one off angle versus Pat McAfee? Either way, the match was great as the former NFL Punter had a very good showing for himself, and Cole once again proved he can work with anyone!
Finn Balor vs Timothy Thatcher absolutely delivered, but when don’t they? Thatcher can absolutely go in that ring and I firmly believe he can be the next Cesaro, but perhaps with better success on the big stage when he gets there.
It was a bit of a shock as Damian Priest came away with the NXT North American Championship. It was an amazing match that was worthy of the excellent NXT Takeover Legacy that it came with.
It wasn’t a shock however as Io Shirai retained her NXT Women’s Championship over Dakota Kai. Enough messing around there, get Candice LeRae in the title picture and it is off and running.
