Fairview came into tonight’s contest hosting senior night for their 2023 seniors as North Olmsted looked to steal the day from the Warriors. Both teams entered tonight dancing around 500. As they look to bolster their respective playoff chances. It was North Olmsted who ended out on top 66-54, thanks to a strong offensive performance that kept Fairview on their heels for four quarters.

The first quarter was upbeat the whole way as both sides played intense defense and hit open threes. North Olmsted found their way to the basket more often than not forcing Fairview to change their defense to a 2-3 zone. This adjustment is to prevent the Eagles from driving inside and keeping the ball on the outside.

the score at the end of the first quarter 18 to 16 in favor of the Fairview Warriors. This was thanks to Senior forward Jacob Rehor who led his team after one quarter with eight points. This forced the Eagles to focus on Rehor making the other Warriors step up.

Rehor only scored two points in the second quarter but still contributed with key passes and rebounds. Even though the Fairview senior remained a factor, the Eagles of North Olmsted found a way to steal the lead heading into halftime. 31-30 was the score as both teams went into the break as North Olmsted had the lead.

The third quarter was a hectic masterpiece as both teams continued to deal it out back and fourth like two heavy weight boxers. Two technical fouls perfectly explain the second half, a physical contest with high emotions as both teams attempted to find an edge over each other.

Miles Ciulla came alive in the third quarter thanks to some big free throws that helped North Olmsted extend their lead.  Fairviews offense may have been lacking in the third quarter, but their defense kept them in the game and only down by three points heading into the fourth quarter.

North Olmsted dominated the fourth quarter as Fairview could not seem to find answers to stopping the Eagles offensive attack. They reverted from the 2-3 zone and back to man-to-man relying on help defense to stop North Olmsted from driving to the basket.

Alex Pullin was a star for North Olmsted in the fourth quarter as he scored seven points in the fourth quarter. Pullin was a star in tonight’s game thanks to a three point shot that seemed unstable as he helped his team pull away with the lead.

Tonight’s leaders were Jacob Rehor who had 18 points in an impressive shooting performance from all over the floor. Alex Pullin was the scorer leader for the Eagles with 18 points, Miles Ciulla, and Eggie Cordero followed him with 17 points respectively to their names.
